OUR CORE TENETS
Availability

We expand the reach of Psychedelic-Assisted Care through grassroots organization and provider education.

  • Community\Expanding Availability
Highlighted Activity: NPAF Advocacy Lead, Kathryn Tucker, is involved in litigation in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, following the filing of a psilocybin rescheduling petition with the DEA.

  • Broader Impact: Success in this litigation could pave the way for expanded access to Psychedelic-Assisted Care, as positive awareness and reception of psilocybin’s benefits could spread among voters, lawmakers, and regulators.

Accessibility

We ensure that providers can offer Psychedelic-Assisted Care without the fear of losing their medical or center licenses.

  • Legal & Regulatory Guidance: We provide resources for navigating the complexities in the legal and regulatory landscapes governing of Psychedelic-Assisted Care.

  • Legal Empowerment and Support: We offer essential support services through our legal defense fund for professionals facing legal or compliance challenges.

  • State and Federal Alignment for Accessible Care: We work to align federal and state regulations to encourage a more accessible care environment.

Affordability

We advocate for policies that stipulate that Psychedelic-Assisted Care is economically viable for providers—and

  • Stakeholder Education and Reform: We champion state autonomy in drug policies and advocate for fair taxation under IRS Code 280E.

  • Equity Initiative: We extend service center ‘grants’ using sliding scale systems to enact universal affordability based on what individuals can pay.
